Jess Turnbull is a holistic strategist, hands-on implementer, and servant leader based in San Francisco California. He has years of experience in smart energy systems, general contracting, and developing software and hardware systems. He leads ad-hoc, multi-role teams to solve difficult problems, design and implement smart grid energy systems from conception, through regulatory, permitting, construction, commissioning, to operation. He develops teams and process to increase efficiency and support business development with both technical and client-facing aspects. Jess holds a 2019 MSc Systems Thinking in Practice, from Open University, UK. For his thesis, he built a modeling tool for stakeholders (PUC, ISO, utilities, investors, etc.) to forecast effects of new regulations, pricing, etc. on load curve from EV charging. He holds a California General Contractor’s license and is a licensed Helicopter Pilot and Commercial sUAS Pilot
